Lesson for today: Never say "Zimbabweans are suffering". Say I /My Family / My village / peeps at my Cabin are suffering. I have now sat in rooms where my "business accuman" and "education" mean NOTHING. I was sonned by kids nearly half my age without OLevels, who are making more money than I could imagine daily. Didn't even see one with a laptop. There is somerhing happening in the mining , agriculture and financial sector that's NOT represented on Twitter. Some people have cracked the code of chaos, which can't be defined by the old paradigms. Many of these net benefitiaries of chaos don't want it to ever stop. It's gonna take more than politics to change the trajectory of the chaos economics. There will be NO party that will be able to level the field. It's now a Jungle. And if you are BOUT IT, you will thrive (though unsustainably). The many developments springing up and about the nation. Things are happening. Money is moving. Sometimes the anger is failing to also navigate the chaos. I'm guilty of that too. But yah. People are hungry at your house or your village. The city that never sleeps is now primed for a whole different economics. There are going to be winners and losers. What is happening is a wealth redistribution. A reset to survival of the fittest. And team yemaChiz schools nechirungu with soft hands, are going to be the biggest victims IMHO. That's why they will have to go to courtries who's systems they where trained for. The jungle isn't for everyone.

@begottensun Soo true. These backyard projects are a scam that suppliers perpetuate because only they gain by selling you equipment. MSCI World ETF is such a hack. Definitely one to have on your portfolio. 🧐

How many "I have started a fish project in my back yard" success stories do you know. Digging an hole and some black plastic... Even with 1000 free fingerlings is basically going to lose you money. It's like buying one Gonyet you try to "run" "logistics" in Zimabbwe and you hire your mothers aclcholic brother Sekuru: Malume nhingurikin, whilst you fondoka night shifts in diaspora. Don't do it kani. It's better to burn your money on a fire and stay warm kuchando. And no ... There is no actually money in shipping autotrader rejects thru Walvis Bay to sell and your homies car wash on Lomagundi. Kiya Kiya entrepreneurship will rid you of your hard earned money. Put it into the London stock exchange and enjoy your 10% a year comrades. Zim ain't for the faint hearted. Anyway. It's 3am. Wake up and put in your 1% growth. Read. Meditate. Pray. Learn something new. Get a head start on your entitled peers. Thank later.

@begottensun Funny that you bring this up, I was telling my wife that, this is the oldest scam in Zimbabwe. The people that profit are the ones selling the equipment. Most of all the ones selling wood shavings 🤣

Without paying labour or yourself a wage. Without a professional slaughter house , brining and flash freezing. Without having to build a new brooder , without heating costs and security cost, you can make about $130 for a 100 chicken project after 7 weeks if you have a guaranteed ready market that comes and collects from you immediatel, you eat non of them and non die. Oh... And no zesa faults. Imagine working for 7 weeks to get only $130 profit? That's not enough to keep you fed and housed. Let alone look after a family. It's a side hobby project. A relaxing theraphy vibe. A forced risky saving. Rather go to a big capacity farmer, by 100 frozen A grade birds and add Mark up like Super markets do. Layers even worse.

@begottensun I suppose they have their target market. As a bank they probably know the kind of monies some Zimbos have. I saw their post and for average family even in diaspora looking for an investment property that monthly repayment is absurd. Double the repayment period they maybe. 🤔

@begottensun Those flights to Zim cost an arm and a leg only to deal ungrateful relatives & goch goch for entertainment etc. Diaspora mentors could be a thing or just join some fb groups.

@begottensun Happana chinobuda with ED in power. There is lots of talented people contributing to these first world economies. The problem with Africa is we have warlords turned presidents.

@begottensun This is true. No country will just take you uri windi. Research & identify industries with demand almost every western country publishes this info. Pick one of those industries & learn & also strategically learn other languages.

Human beings are Nomadic creatures. Boarders are an artificial construct. Our ancestors knew this and used to always migrate when the land they occupied got low on resources to survive. Don't be afraid to leave comrades. The value some bring to Zimbabwe works for them and not for others. The post below made me very sad... Failing to pay medical aid means you can't live with dignity. Failing to pay Nyaradzo means you can't die with dignity.
Lovely@ManzunzuN

Getting a salary of 191 000 rtgs and my Nyaradzo was 392 000rtgs. I have to drop Nyaradzo because I can't afford it anymore. In February I also dropped medical aid. Zimbabwe is painful
