I need to stop romanticizing moving to Europe for a cheap and comfy life. Europe is expensive AF! Some places cost even more than New York and Miami!! Infrastructure sucks, same as in the USA. Some countries are better, some are horrible. No place has proper AC. Valet and delivery services are rare, and health care is shit. It’s covered by your 50% taxes in most decent countries I actually want to live in. You wait for appointments and specialist and tests for months. Many places have too much crime, robberies, and mafia activity. Sure, I could live in a little village in the middle of nowhere for cheaper, but I won’t. If I want the same lifestyle I have in the USA—living in top zip codes, going to top restaurants, shopping, and traveling—it costs the same as in the USA, if not more with the euro! I learned my lesson. Now back to reality. It was a fun fantasy while it lasted 😂
