A large cordon remains in place on Greenwood Street after a woman was stabbed last night. One local resident has told me she didn’t know anything had happened until around 9am this morning when she left her house to see the cordon outside. @MENnewsdesk

Good afternoon. Some sad news today, I’m in Oldham where a police cordon remains in place after a woman in her 20s was stabbed last night, GMP has confirmed. @MENnewsdesk

The same resident told me that he heard a big bang so came outside and saw the 4 by 4 smashed into the garage. It was around 15 minutes after this that the emergency services arrived. That was around 3:20pm this afternoon @MENnewsdesk

A resident has told me that incidents similar to this are happening regularly in the area. According to a local resident, there have been three similar incidents in the past week @MENnewsdesk
