During Russia’s overnight attack on Jan 24, the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra — a 1,000-year-old Orthodox monastery and @UNESCO World Heritage Site — was damaged for the first time since WWII. Churches, cave entrances, windows, and facades were affected.

🕯Every year, on the fourth Saturday of November, Ukraine and the world commemorate millions of victims who died during the man-made famines of 1921–22, 1932–33, and 1946–47. The Holodomor was a deliberate genocide planned to destroy Ukrainians and break their resistance.

On November 21, Ukraine marks the Day of Dignity and Freedom — the anniversary of the Orange Revolution (2004) and the Revolution of Dignity (2013). This day symbolizes Ukraine's commitment to the ideals and principles of building a democratic state and the ideas of freedom.
