#WATCH | Guwahati: On Congress leader Pawan Khera's allegations over her passports, and CM's election affidavit, wife of Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, Riniki Bhuyan Sharma says, "It seems that a mad dog has bitten them and from the top rung of the Congress to the lowest rung, I believe that they don't have anything else to do except defaming people that too with AI generated and total photoshop. One more thing which they have done well is set up a playbook... It is an example set to the entire Assamese society by a very veteran party, which is very shameful. I think they have gone berserk... For the last two years, they have been doing every little thing to defame me, my daughter, my son, we are nowhere related to politics..."

Politics in #Assam is hitting a new low—and it should outrage every thinking citizen. Dragging a 27-year-old girl, Kunki Choudhury, into vile debates over what her parents—@SujataGurungChowdhury and Dudul da—allegedly eat is not politics. It’s a shameful display of fear and desperation. If #HimantaBiswaSarma truly believes Bijoy Gupta is a strong candidate, then why stoop to targeting a young girl’s family and identity? Because this isn’t a strength. This is the fear of being challenged. This is not leadership. This is calculated polarisation. Assam’s politics cannot be reduced to hate and personal attack. Debate work. Debate vision. Debate real issues. Stop targeting families. Stop dividing Assam. Stop this dirty politics.

🚨BIG: Foreign ‘Spies’ held by NIA from India’s Northeastern region, trying to de-stabilise peace; 👇🏼: Read more National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrestred American national Matthew Aaron VanDyke and six Ukrainian citizens in a major counter-terrorism operation. Authorities allege the group entered India on tourist visas, travelled to restricted Mizoram without the mandatory permit, and illegally crossed into Myanmar. There, they allegedly conducted pre-scheduled training for Myanmar-based Ethnic Armed Groups (EAGs) in drone warfare, assembly, jamming technology and operations targeting the Myanmar junta. The accused are also accused of importing large consignments of drones and equipment from Europe via Indian soil and supplying weapons and hardware. NIA claims the EAGs have links to proscribed insurgent outfits active in India’s Northeast, posing a direct threat to national security. VanDyke, 46, founder of Sons of Liberty International (SOLI), is a veteran of multiple conflict zones. He fought with Libyan rebels in 2011 (where he was captured), operated in Syria and Iraq, and provided anti-drone support in Ukraine. SOLI offers military training and advisory services to anti-regime forces worldwide. A Delhi court remanded all seven to 11 days of NIA custody under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
