Last weekend we were at the Miniatura doll's house show up near Coventry and who was the first visitor to our stand? Someone from our neighbouring town of Didcot! We'll be holding a dolls house event later in the year, keep your eyes peeled for further details...

The Avro 504K aeroplane is now in the Vale scene! Come along this weekend to see if you can spot it. We're open from 11am - 4pm Saturday and Sunday.

This February Half Term we're open on both weekends as usual, but also on Wednesday 18th! We'll have our usual half-hour Junior Model Making sessions running from 11am with the last session starting at 3.30pm for children aged 6-14. More details on our website.

We recently came across this lovely little relic of the 1930's - our founder Roye England's Wimbledon and District Model Railway Club membership book. The club was founded in 1924 and is the second oldest model railway club in the world. @ModelWmrc

"Ditchling Green" comes to Pendon Museum! On 18th & 19th April we will be presenting a special showing of the celebrated, 0-gauge layout, “Ditchling Green”. Come and see this iconic model in operation at no extra cost, doors open 11am with last entry 3.15pm.

We're open this weekend Saturday 31st Jan & Sunday 1st Feb from 11am (with last entry at 3.15pm) with a few new things to see, including these amazing miniature rooms created by our very own Chairman (and retired professional dolls house modeller) Malcolm Smith!

One of our amazing volunteers recently brought in their work-in-progress 1:76 scale model of 'Blissetts' cottage in Bishopstone, Swindon, for colour matching. We'll be open this coming weekend Sat 31st Jan & Sun 1st Feb from 11am with last entry 3.15pm.

We are open today (29th), tomorrow (30th) and Wednesday (31st) from 11am with last entry 3.15pm. As well as seeing our incredible miniature landscapes, there are several beautiful walks around Long Wittenham, a great pub nearby and it's warm and cosy in our tea room!

We are now closed for winter, however we will have a special New Years opening on 29th, 30th & 31st December from 11am with last entry at 3.15pm. We will re-open for the 2026 season on 31st January and look forward to welcoming you then. Photo @Nevardmedia

This weekend will be our last opening weekend at Pendon before Christmas and what better way to celebrate the festive season than with a special running exhibition! We'll have two visiting layouts and we also hope to run a couple of exhibition themed trains on the Dartmoor scene.

The historic Madder Valley Railway, housed at Pendon Museum, has recently been presented with an award by the NMRA to honour it's creator, John Ahern, as a pioneer of the model railway hobby. See it in operation on select dates throughout the year: pendonmuseum.com/events/madder-…
