Pendon Museum

We're open this Bank Holiday Weekend Saturday, Sunday & Monday from 11am until 4pm! Come and see what rural life was like in the 1920s/1930s in exquisite miniature form with trains running on the Vale, Dartmoor and Sea Wall scenes.

Spotlight on the brilliant Smaller Things who will be at our Doll's House Exhibition 29th & 30th August. They create highly detailed 1:48 and 1:144 scale miniature scenes and illusion-based room boxes combining traditional dolls house miniatures with atmospheric storytelling.

Monday 18th May: Preschool drop-in crafts and activities for ages 3 - 5 from 10am until 12pm, £5 per child (siblings under 3 come free). No need to book a space, simply turn up and pay on entry. We'll be running these sessions monthly during term time: pendonmuseum.com/events

Spotlight on Amanda's Mini Arcadia who specialises in 1:48 scale items, especially food, but also including accessories, pets, fine furniture and architectural detail both in DIY (paint your own kits) and painted form. See them at our Doll's House Exhibition 29th & 30th August!

Will are open this Thursday 7th May from 11am - 4pm! We are also open weekends and bank holidays (Feb-Nov), Wednesdays in the school holidays and the first Thursday of the month until Oct.

A reminder we are open from 11am - 4pm on both bank holiday Mondays in May (4th & 25th), as well as our usual weekend openings. See if you can spot the recently installed larger scale models of a typical rural cottage interior and vicar's study!

We're hosting a Doll's House Exhibition on 29th & 30th Aug to will include demo's, workshops & stalls from key UK traders including Petite Properties, Jan Southerton, Enchanted Dolls, Smaller Things, Amanda’s Mini Arcadia and Malcolm’s Miniatures! More details on our website.

Last weekend we were at the Miniatura doll's house show up near Coventry and who was the first visitor to our stand? Someone from our neighbouring town of Didcot! We'll be holding a dolls house event later in the year, keep your eyes peeled for further details...

The Avro 504K aeroplane is now in the Vale scene! Come along this weekend to see if you can spot it. We're open from 11am - 4pm Saturday and Sunday.

This February Half Term we're open on both weekends as usual, but also on Wednesday 18th! We'll have our usual half-hour Junior Model Making sessions running from 11am with the last session starting at 3.30pm for children aged 6-14. More details on our website.

We recently came across this lovely little relic of the 1930's - our founder Roye England's Wimbledon and District Model Railway Club membership book. The club was founded in 1924 and is the second oldest model railway club in the world. @ModelWmrc

"Ditchling Green" comes to Pendon Museum! On 18th & 19th April we will be presenting a special showing of the celebrated, 0-gauge layout, “Ditchling Green”. Come and see this iconic model in operation at no extra cost, doors open 11am with last entry 3.15pm.

We're open this weekend Saturday 31st Jan & Sunday 1st Feb from 11am (with last entry at 3.15pm) with a few new things to see, including these amazing miniature rooms created by our very own Chairman (and retired professional dolls house modeller) Malcolm Smith!

One of our amazing volunteers recently brought in their work-in-progress 1:76 scale model of 'Blissetts' cottage in Bishopstone, Swindon, for colour matching. We'll be open this coming weekend Sat 31st Jan & Sun 1st Feb from 11am with last entry 3.15pm.

We are open today (29th), tomorrow (30th) and Wednesday (31st) from 11am with last entry 3.15pm. As well as seeing our incredible miniature landscapes, there are several beautiful walks around Long Wittenham, a great pub nearby and it's warm and cosy in our tea room!
