@cruiselifestyl A5) We did really enjoy this aft cabin on Arcadia. The cabin was so spacious and the balcony was huge and meant I could sit outside and keep out of the sun. #Cruisehour

@cruiselifestyl A4) I do like the usb charging ports by the bedside and wish they would be retrofitted into more of the older ships. As much as I don’t mind the older style bathrooms , I do like the more modern bathrooms with the shower cubicles and the less plasticky look. # Cruisehour

Q4) What small or thoughtful design feature in a cruise cabin gets a big thumbs up from you? 👍

English

@cruiselifestyl A3) No, we have never regretted booking any of the cabins we have been in. We always choose our own cabin and do quite a lot of research into the locations, reading all the symbols on the key, etc. so we know which cabins to avoid, e.g. overlooked, adjoining, etc. #Cruisehour

@cruiselifestyl A2) I do spend a fair bit of time in the cabin. I like the peace and quiet of the cabin and I love spending time on the balcony. I like to get out and about every day to enjoy the ship but I avoid the really busy areas like the sun and pool decks. #Cruisehour

@cruiselifestyl A1) For me, it has to be a balcony cabin. I am fussy about location though so not too close to the lifts and stairwells, not directly below the noisier parts of the ship, never have an obstructed balcony and always go for a glass-fronted balcony rather than steel. #Cruisehour

Welcome to #CruiseHour and today’s topic is cruise cabins - let’s chat!
Q1) Is deck location more important than cabin type?

@cruiselifestyl I have a history of not doing things by halves so it is likely to be a long-haul for my first fly-cruise. #Cruisehour
English

@PennAlli Just do a short one first to ease yourself in OR go big on a long haul! #CruiseHour

@angelalhorton @cruiselifestyl It would help me too and would bring a whole new level of discipline to my packing. At the moment, I have the luxury of packing what I want as long as it fits in the car and the cabin but when I do finally do a fly-cruise, that approach won’t work. #Cruisehour
English

@PennAlli @cruiselifestyl I think a baggage restriction helps me focus and pack only what is absolutely necessary.

@cruiselifestyl I am sure I could do it if I needed to, as I wouldn’t be paying for excess baggage either. I do plan to do a fly-cruise one day so we will have to see how I cope. #Cruisehour
English

@PennAlli Luggage allowance can definitely make you pack smarter though! It gives me a firm limit because I won’t be paying for excess weight #CruiseHour

@cruiselifestyl A5) I do like the walk-in type wardrobes, like those on Britannia and Ventura. There is a lot of hanging space, plenty of shelves and room for shoes, etc. This was our cabin on Ventura (no picture of the storage space, I’m afraid). #Cruisehour

Q5) PHOTO FINISH 📸 Share your photos of a cruise cabin you’ve stayed in that was particularly good for storage space #CruiseHour

English

@PennAlli You never know and there’s nothing to say you have to get it wet! #CruiseHour

@cruiselifestyl A2) I always keep a bag with me that has a couple of changes of clothes and my toiletries, (as well as any meds, valuables, etc. which you should always carry with you). Other than that, one thing I never travel without is my intention to have a great cruise. #Cruisehour
