Penn BLSA's Official Statement #BlackLivesMatter

Penn BLSA has decided to create a standing fund for the continued support of Black Lives Matter movements. We will continue sending donations to various organizations that are at the forefront of supporting Black issues. We look forward to working together to bring about change!

Saturday, our community came together to send Penn BLSA's Class of 2020 off with lots of love! With administrators, faculty, alumni, current students, and families on zoom, we honored the class' achievements and toasted to their futures. Congrats graduates, you will be missed!🥳

Attention Penn BLSA fam: Join us in congratulating the Penn Law BLSA Class of 2020 on completing their law school journey! The classes of 2018, 2019, 2021, and 2022 will be hosting a live virtual ceremony on Saturday, 5/16 at 4 PM EST to show some love to our graduating 3Ls.

BLSA stands in solidarity with Penn APALSA regarding the uptick in anti-Asian racism relating to COVID-19. We strongly support their call to action for all of us to be diligent in fighting back against the xenophobic and racist attacks on Asian and Pacific American communities.

The annual Pan-Africa Service Trip went to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil to further this year’s Sadie theme on slavery reparations. Students presented a comparative study and legal analysis of slavery reparations in the U.S. and Brazil for renown practitioner Humberto Adami.
