I needed to shift to actually refining said words & not just writing new ones. I want to actually have some books to show at the end of the year, not just lots of words. That said, I have some small goals for OCT. So let's see! #wordcount #writing

Total Words Written from JUL-AUG-SEP 2021: 0 The past 3 months have been slow. I decided, I really needed to focus on my editing & not just output. It was almost like cheating. I was counting even the smallest of edits so that I could make up a word count. #wordcount #writing

Total Words Written in JAN 2021: 4,302 Definitely not my best. No daily word counts and not a lot of pressure, working on simply carving out time and putting words out there. #wordcount #writing

We finally did it! We finished chapter 56! Delayed by another day, but got there. I read the chapter first in all its messy glory. Only after that did I dare to open my #editor notes. Nothing so bad. But still had to quell my inner anxiety & shame looking at my poor #writing.

*sigh* and now we have come to what I've been dreading the most... Chapter 56. It's largely dialogue and all that dialogue has been yellow highlighted by #editor Wish me luck & any #advice on how to mentally prepare & fix my mistakes after would be great! #WritingCommunity

Oh no! Reading through my developmental report & saw #editor has highlighted most if not all of my chapter 56. What do I do? Anyone have any advice for mindset? I'm seriously dreading re-reading the chapter & what they have to say. Will keep posted on my progress. #writing #wip

Re-reading and re-plotting my #wip getting to the part where things are getting really grindy. Have been working on other stuff and applying feedback in newer work. Those things are just looking like so much more fun. Any experiences with overhauling your wip & #rewriting ?

@marisviews I don't read much magic realism, but this definitely sounds like something I might enjoy. After who doesn't like cute cafes? I only read a few pages of an awesome book, but it was translated from Mandarin to English and it was obvious something was lost in translation.
