@TheAnfieldWrap Our club certainly tries to make the most of the Beatles connection ⚽️🖤🤍 Sitting in the Penny Lane wine bar the night before a tournament in 2009 we realised we didn’t have a name so it started in the bar, and then we took loads of Beatles references to build the club.

After all the talk lately about Liverpool and Arne Slot, last night raised a really good question. Why don't we have a big massive Beatles banner?

CLUB STATEMENT: We are receiving a lot of backlash from a decision made at a different club. Our women’s and girls teams are still running and firmly part of our set up. We are proudly growing the women’s game in our area.

BREAKING 🚨 The six board members who voted to scrap Thornaby FC's women's teams have now stepped down. Only Phil Genery and chairman, Gary Morris, remain. They plan to build a new diverse and wide-ranging board alongside representatives from the women's team. #BBCFootball

Now more than ever let's get behind & support these young people. We can all see what's happening & who's being set up to be the face of defeat. We are going to be gas lit with explanations & justifications, but those deciding who goes on the back pages know what they’re doing. Let's keep our energy focused on giving these players pure love & support throughout the tournament.
