Am working on my talk for the Dyslexia Institute's conf, 'Rebel Voices', Sept 9 & 10. I've got 20 minutes to explain how understanding learners, especially the outliers, could help us teach maths more effectively. Should be able to scratch the surface in that time. @stevechinnUK

@Mathematicsctlm @stevechinnUK It’s do able. I have no reason or right to be doing this as I can’t pass maths exams diagnosed as a dyscalculic, but I have children running to be put on my maths list. Its about how you listen to the student & adjust to how they interpret the work set.I learn from them.

@stevechinnUK I am sure the topic is multi-dimensional--it might even be a fractal, therefore the surface area should be very large. Even if you just scratch the surface that will be great job. I hope you start from the bottom. The problem has been sitting on it for a very long time. Cheers!
