#Bielefeld project #altstadt.raum: at 2nd stakeholder workshop on March 23, the topics of accessibility and parking were discussed. The aim is to agree on the tasks for the planning experts. Their work on ideas for implementation will take place in the second half of 2023.

#Bielefeld will receive over 3 million Euro for implementing measures in the Old Town, i.e. for new use of public space, against overheating in summers and to deal with heavy rain events. The application was approved by federal programm "adaption of urban space to climate change"

Bielefeld's #UVAR pilot at the oldtown horseshoe will start in June! City Council decided last night that the oldtown should become much more attractive for customers and visitors by testing more outdoor gastronomy at street parking space and closure of some streets for cars.

Today the URBACT Summer University is starting - due to COVID19 it's taking place online for the first time. To be honest, it feels a bit strange to me to join it online, but I am very curious how it will work.
