@wintergleam_two @Sethisto I feel like if they were to make a generation based on a successor to G5, phones might be one of the societal "antagonists" they'd tackle. Would be super interesting to see.

@Sethisto I think we don't like imagining ponies living in the kind of world where you end up in bed doomscrolling until 3 am. Just speaking with regards to escapism, I think phones are one of the top technologies we'd like to escape from, so it's jarring to see them in the show.

While it does look like something new mlp is going to happen I would like to keep my expectations extremely low because current year really isn't the best time for (good)media in general. Won't have to wait long to see what is said at SDCC.
