@Tallowtwins Exactly! Sterilizing instruments, washing hands… why they would call to “ boil water “ when a woman went into labor. Hands washed, clean instruments to cut umbilical cord, wipe mum up. My mother had 7 pregnancies, 7 healthy children, home births, same with my gran & her mother.

Childbirth didn’t become safer just because of new tech, it was hand washing.
In 1847, Ignaz Semmelweis had doctors wash their hands after autopsies before delivering babies → maternal deaths from puerperal fever dropped up to 90%.
Sometimes the biggest breakthroughs are actually just common sense. Who knew.

The boss babe dream is a lie. The vast majority of women will work a mid-level job that makes $40-60K a year for the rest of their lives. Most of these women had opportunities with good dudes when they were young that they passed up not realizing what they were doing.

I understand why I seem “mean”, but the only way you get women to change their opinion on something like feminism is to repeatedly make your opposition look so stupid that it becomes deeply embarrassing to hold that opinion publicly. That’s what will make other women flip on the subject, and unfortunately, it’s the only thing that will work.

@Tallowtwins Not gatekeeping! Our Granny’s taught their contemporaries their “ secret “ tips on qpon clipping, recipes, gardening tips. Heck! They used to go over to each other’s house, help that gal while choking down a pack of smokes and a pot of coffee. Now, woman hardly share knowledge.
