Said it on the air, but the team can not afford to let Nick Herbig walk if they do not come to terms on an extension this offseason. It'd be bad business to let a 25 yr old, ascending pass rusher walk. The Steelers have found a lot of good EDGEs, but they're not easy to find!

Great Steelers insider Nick Farabaugh believes Nick Herbig could be in line to get franchise tagged after the season. That would pay a backup edge rusher between $25-30 million in 2027. That would be unreal and unprecedented.

Dane Brugler brought up a great point the other day. Guys who watch college football and watch players every single week and get to see the flow of the season have a way different opinion on prospects than the guys who watch no ball and just watch some cutups in March and April.

That’s solid value for Wicks. Not sure the Packers would have even gotten a comp pick for him in 2027 given their likely spending.
Wicks is a high upside swing. Has the H/W/S of a starting WR. Hands and route consistency needs to improve. Interesting that he follows Mannion.
