@PerfectOurUnion

I left MAGA. Founded @LeavingMAGA. We're a community for those who leave MAGA; those having doubts; and friends and families. We tell stories of those who left.

We're excited to share an important development in the work of Leaving MAGA—and to invite you to a special briefing where we’ll discuss it together. Leaving MAGA is launching a new collaboration with United Vision for Idaho’s United Vision Project, a national relational organizing program that has been engaging people across profound political differences in communities across the country. Over the past five years, the United Vision Project has facilitated more than 107,000 conversations across 12 states, reaching over 1.4 million people through authentic dialogue across extreme political division that helps open space for reflection and reconsideration of deeply held political identities. At Leaving MAGA, we’ve learned that leaving a political movement like MAGA is rarely about simply changing someone’s mind. It’s about identity, belonging, and community. When people begin to question the movement, they often feel alone, uncertain, and afraid of losing the relationships that once defined their social world. That’s why this collaboration is so powerful. The United Vision Project creates the conditions where people can begin asking hard questions about the narratives they’ve been immersed in. Leaving MAGA provides a powerful next step from a community of people who understand the journey of leaving and who can support others as they navigate that transition. Together, we are building a continuum that moves from conversation → reflection → transition → community and leadership. We’ll be sharing more about this collaboration during a virtual briefing on March 24 at 3:00 PM PT / 6:00 PM ET. We’ll discuss what we’re learning about political transformation, why this collaboration matters now, and how we can expand this work nationally. Register here to join us: us06web.zoom.us/meeting/regist… At a time when polarization continues to intensify in the United States, we believe this partnership represents a hopeful and practical path forward—one grounded in empathy, human connection, and the courage to change. We hope you’ll join us. Rich

Imagine hearing your governor falsely claiming the COVID-19 vaccine is deadlier than the virus. What comes next, confusion? Betrayal?

The MAGA Movement is CRUMBLING. NOW IS OUR CHANCE TO TAKE THE SOUTH. The primary is barreling toward us on May 19th. Alabama: We need every dollar and voice to win this thing. I'm the strongest Democrat to flip this seat, defeat the MAGA nominee, and hold Trump accountable in the Senate. We have an opportunity to elect a Democrat in Alabama to hold Trump accountable in Congress. Let’s take it! Will you help us win and take back Congress? Donate here: goodchange.app/donate/kyle--bq

Elected officials would be wise to acknowledge that, at any given time, there are Americans who are not faring well economically; this is the reality of a capitalistic, unequal outcomes model. (And, yes, I am a capitalist.) When someone is struggling financially, they are not thinking about GDP or an economy that is the "envy of the world"; they are thinking about survival.

I am a registered independent. But I pay attention to politics. Most voters (independent, or otherwise) don't; those who don’t pay close attn. to politics have the most electoral, democratic (lower case d) influence. This is why there are really two campaigns many run when running for office: the primary campaign, and the general election campaign. The apolitical aren’t partisan; they are free agent voters.

More Americans now identify as independents than as Republicans or Democrats. I am one of them. Yet independents have no prospect of electing even a small caucus in Congress let alone a president. It's time for a new strategy theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/03/…

Here's an EXCERPT from my memoir, "One Betrayal Too Many: Why I Left MAGA": From the Prologue: “The Amazing Mar-a-Lago: October 29, 2020” (pp. 7-8, 222 words): Even knowing that President Trump wouldn’t be here, I still couldn’t help but feel electrified while driving up the gravel driveway onto the manicured grounds of Mar-a-Lago. It was October 29, not long before the 2020 election. It felt like I was a part of all the luxury and opportunity that surrounded me. As the valet took my car, I stood on the sidewalk for a moment to take it all in. Dressed in a white tuxedo, at 6’ 3”, I gave off a Great Gatsby vibe. I’d studied the layout ahead of time so I would be able to walk through the rooms with confidence. The fact was, I’d never been there before, and it cost me a small fortune to rub shoulders with those who were attending the annual ball. Taking a deep breath, I congratulated myself. “Rich, you are actually here." I could honestly say that there was not a more devoted Trump supporter. I’d invested everything – my money, time, and energy. As Rich Logis, MAGA podcaster, writer, and activist, I’d gathered regional notoriety and even had followers across the country. I was there to hobnob my way up the ladder, knowing that national leaders would be in attendance. It would all be worth it when I gained the president’s attention and was recognized as a loyal MAGA soldier.
