This is such an important report. Maternal Mental Health Services are ground breaking (but I’m biased as I led the team who wrote the policy to create them) but what this report shows is that they are only scratching the surface of the need. #MakeAllCareCount
Maternal Mental Health Alliance@MMHAlliance

The Maternal Mental Health Alliance calls on the government to further invest in Maternal Mental Health Services, end the postcode lottery and provide vital support to all women, babies, and families. It’s time to act: maternalmentalhealthalliance.org/MMHS #MakeAllCareCount

Today, I'm heading to the @lb_southwark Maternity Commission report launch. @MotherhoodGroup was commissioned to conduct an engagement report, examining the experiences of over 100 Black +ethnic minority mothers and healthcare practitioners in maternity services. Why are Black mums still facing disproportionate challenges in maternal healthcare? This question continues to drive our work at @MotherhoodGroup . Last week marked our 5th annual Black Maternal Mental Health Week, focused on advancing and transforming care. Don’t let it be just a "tick box" exercise, but a real catalyst for change. It's striking how closely our report findings align with the themes from last week's event, underscoring the urgent need for systemic improvements in maternal care for Black women.

Such an important report by @MMHAlliance & REFORM sharing the stories of women who have experienced child removal. Such helpful learning that will go into our @DCPperinatal report we are codeveloping on what fully funded & staffed #MaternalMentalHealthServices should look like.
Maternal Mental Health Alliance@MMHAlliance

The MMHA is proud to launch a new report in collaboration with @womensreform highlighting the stories of mothers who have experienced child removal due to drug and alcohol use and the impact this had on their mental health: maternalmentalhealthalliance.org/news/trauma-ad… #MakeAllCareCount #ListenToMums
