Your employer pays you. Not the people you serve that is your job description. You are not entitled nor should you be under any expectation that you’ll get a tip. The tip is entirely discretionary. I choose. Not you. I don’t care if you chose to be a service worker, that’s on you, if your wage doesn’t cut to where you rely solely on customers tips, your priorities aren’t right.. understand your position. In other lines of work you don’t get a tip or a pat on the back or that “good job” … if your employment doesn’t cut it for you the onus does not fall upon the customer to tip you… it falls on the employer and ultimately yourself, take on a second job, it’s rough all around for many folks, your situation isn’t unique and you’re not special.
