And we're live again for the 4th year running 🥳 2 days of hard work & great team effort to set up the maize #plastic mulch film field trial where we compare the long-term effects of continued plastic incorporation & application of #LDPE and biodegradable mulch on soil & crops🌾

The plots are ready for treatment application for our long-term maize field experiment 🥳🌱❤ 4th year in a row looking at effects of #LDPE & biodegradable #plastic mulch film & their repeated incorporation into the soil on soil & crop properties.

A new experiment has been added to our project, led by one of our MSc students 👩‍🎓 She is investigating the transport and impact of #microplastics from both #mulch film 🧑‍🌾 and #tyres 🛞 on soil and plant health 🌱 Pictures: Day 1 vs. Day 7 vs. Day 14.
