@MichaeLPolice He was the only one to make her feel like a person. Not an alien invader, not a diamond, or even a gem. Just Rose. When she was with Greg, it didn't matter what she was or is, all that he saw was her and he didn't let anything put either of them above or below the other.

@PersistantGamar This is exactly why rose fell in love with Greg in the first place. He treated her like as an individual while Pearl kept treating her like the diamond she always was

I always loved the relationship these two had because Greg is probably the first person to ever bring Rose down to their level instead of holding her on a pedestal or idolizing her in some way. Greg forced himself to be an equal and she can't help but admire that.

@MelissaTitanium That's only what I think though, cus the way she reacts to it feels like how I used to react to losing/not having support systems in life as a kid, and I don't have any pronounced physical disabilities other than like my utterly useless eyes

@MelissaTitanium I don't think it's supposed to be a physical disability allegory despite the fact her limb enhancers were physical objects, I think it's supposed to be an allegory for being thrown into a world that you're not ready for without supports as someone neurodivergent.

i'm curious on people's thoughts when it comes to the disability allegory of peridot's loss of her limb enhancers .. i've seen a lot of people who praise it but some people who dislike it nd i'm curious what people here think!!

@keanechiii1857 Cus I doubt she would have been fully on-board with what to use it on immediately after getting her hands on it and would have had to pause for a minute since it's still unheard of in monster science to make a monster as strong as a human or whatever, which'd be just enough pause

@keanechiii1857 IMO Kanako could have taken it herself trying to "Be strong for mom" or something because Ceroba just left it out while contemplating what to do with it and then the moral dilemma would be that she facilitated it happening by leaving it in reach of her impressionable kid instead.

Nothing can ever change my mind of how idiotic the idea of Ceroba injecting Kanako with the soul serum was, it's not even in a way of showing a character has flaws that is just stupid writing, but themes and such ig

@flurryfrenzy It's funny cus I don't think he cares as much about ultimate power like a lot of shows portray Satan (though IIRC sometimes he does, it's a tossup), rather just the power to screw with people whenever he wants (which is actually more accurately depicted frankly)

@ModelJag I think she'd consider both us and Kris her friends and be chill with us helping her as long as we don't try and overstep boundaries (which'll be a problem on the weird route and probably lead to some conflict with her and her habit of breaking away from our control)
