I think id find powerscalers alot less obnoxious if they’d acknowledge that they are essentially having playground conversations and having a little fun Rather than how its now, with alot of them treating it like they’re scientists and smarter than the original writers

@viking_gumball I also think some of these people don’t understand that there are multiple types of powerscailing, like the difference between the use of it in the structure of a story or actual debating. But they lump the entire concept into one thing, and just call it stupid.

It should not be hard to merge narrative consistency, hierarchy of threat, and emotional dramatization
That is the first step if you actually care about what you are putting on a page and not simply pumping it out
The reason is people like you will accept anything because you don’t actually care about the story. You care about the flashing lights

Again, if it was a one-off, it’d be fine but the show does it repeatedly. From the Maulers to the Re-Animen to the Guardians
3-4 months after Omni-Man, Mark is far more powerful than Immortal to the point there is no fight and even Immortal accepts it as a sad fact.
Yet Immortal was able to make Omni-Man feel his blows and bleed but Mark in Season 1 couldn’t even move Omni-Man with a punch
Immortal and Mark have a total of 2 interactions prior to the Martian ship interaction where Marks strength wasn’t on display so we have to assume that by the end of season 1, it’s most likely plausible that Mark was already stronger than him
