I've seen enough from the Leafs this season to say they're much more a bad team (not average) that "can" play well vs. a good team that isn't.

@Perstormance @HockeyPatrol Vegas isn't afraid of Florida 😂 Vegas isn't Toronto. Vegas helps players succeed instead of sucking the life out of them 🤷‍♂️

@robertken87 @HockeyPatrol Are the Avs in any way like Florida? The argument is unchanged. The great news for you is he will see Montreal or Carolina. Florida blew the doors off the Canes last season. The argument has never changed. You just want to say it did. It didn't. It won't.

It's amazing watching Leafs fans swoon over Friedman's most recent report. Don't forget while you were saying CJ was making things up, this is what Friedman was saying back then: TorontoHockeyDaily:

@DailyMail Guaranteed if it keeps spreading they will have an unvetted vaccine that does not work but will be sold as another miracle of science...and is dangerous. But, but, Ebola is dangerous. Yes. Doesn't mean you should be shooting dangerous substances to "save yourself".

@agingroy Nothing like keeping people on the gravy train for pharma. Scare them into compliance. Tried and true. Don't start them to begin with.

Stop a statin and your LDL cholesterol rises 30% in four days. Nobody writes a WSJ feature about it. Stop certain blood pressure medications and your BP can spike within hours. Nobody calls it a design flaw. Levothyroxine, antidepressants, insulin, metformin, antihistamines. Chronic treatments for chronic conditions, and all of them stop working when you stop taking them. None of them generate think-pieces questioning whether patients should have started. The AMA classified obesity as a disease in 2013. Thirteen years later, it’s still the only chronic condition where “you have to take it forever” is framed as an argument against treatment rather than a description of how medicine works.
The Wall Street Journal@WSJ

While nearly 18% of U.S. adults have taken a GLP-1 drug for weight loss or to treat a chronic condition, about half of people will stop taking it within a year. Often, they don’t understand what is likely to come next. 🔗: on.wsj.com/4dCkbia

Things between the Maple Leafs organization and Auston Matthews are viewed as 𝗜𝗡 𝗔 𝗚𝗢𝗢𝗗 𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗖𝗘. An in-person meeting is not feasible right now due to offseason scheduling, with Toronto in coaching interviews and having recently completed scouting meetings. Matthews is also recovering from surgery, and with him in Arizona, the timing and logistics have made an in-person meeting difficult to arrange. Instead, there was a lengthy Zoom call last week between Matthews, John Chayka, and Mats Sundin, marking their first real in-depth conversation in this stretch. The meeting was viewed as positive, and right now things remain in a good place between both sides. Matthews has continued to indicate he wants to win in Toronto, a message he has consistently repeated, and that remains the direction the organization is aligned with moving forward. 💙💪 Reports @FriedgeHNIC / 32T H/T @nylanderthews #Leafsforever

@ruthefordml It's due to wide variance in outcomes. There is no truth in the medical field. It's opinion...that's why people get second opinions all the time. Doctors are consistently wrong. Medications are constantly changed. Docs literally don't know what they're doing.

Healthcare is probably the only profession where people think it's okay to argue what the professionals on what they know. Nobody argues quantum physics with physicists, or law with lawyers. But everyone is an expert in healthcare.

@AntonioSabatoJr Excellent point. It was hilarious listening to this in light of the lack of concern for mRNA vaccines which had never been rolled out to the public. The irony is unreal.

@Baptwelve @Leafslatest @reporterchris Did you read anywhere in that report that Auston Matthews views things as in a good place? No. It has been consistently reported Auston wants to win in Toronto. But, he can't and he knows it. Friedge is likely reporting the organizational view of the meeting, not Auston's.
