Zel asked about getting audio descriptions available on YouTube, but the news is a bit disappointing. There’s a single plugin available which has some poor reviews.

TikTok has quite good captioning tools, with automated translations to help people with cross-cultural communication.

So @vithyavv is telling us how screen readers are now speaking emojis - so be careful how many you add when you’re on social media! Plain language and descriptive link text are just as important on socials as they are on websites.

Julie from @Intopia is showing how to support website users who rely on high contrast themes. Ben is showing us the testing tool now. It’s been designed with people with disability involved, so it allows more PWD to be part of accessibility remediation projects as professionals (not just end-users).

IAG was new to accessibility in a lot of ways, so they found the AQA tool helped give them some scaffolding around their tasks - how to group fixes into a single batch, figuring out what to give top priority to.

Kylie Pollock, Ben Crompton and Kim Bonnefoy are going to give us a case study of accessibility in an insurance agency. IAG got TTC to help them out, using TTCs AQA tool.

So their whole process was more efficient - devs didn’t have to go back and re-do work to make accessibility fixes.
