Today, Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani @qubadjt concluded his visit to Greece, where he addressed the Delphi Economic Forum and held high-level meetings with world leaders and senior Greek officials. Here are highlights of his remarks at the 11th Delphi Economic Forum: 🧵

Productive meeting with Dimitris Papastergiou, Minister of Digital Governance of Greece. We agreed to connect our experts to advance e-governance and AI in the Kurdistan Region. Building on a decade of progress, we aim to integrate biometrics and service portals with AI to deliver faster, more transparent public services.

Met with H.E. Kostis Hatzidakis, Deputy Prime Minister of Greece, to strengthen Kurdistan Region–Greece ties across trade, tourism, health & agriculture. We emphasized the importance of direct flights between Slemani and Athens and I invited him to participate in the next Delphi Forum in Sulaimani.

I held a constructive meeting with H.E. Edi Rama (@ediramaal), Prime Minister of the Republic of Albania, on strengthening ties between the Kurdistan Region and Albania across culture, tourism, and investment. He commended the Kurdistan Region’s balanced stance amid regional tensions. We expressed hope that dialogue between the United States and Iran will prevail during the ceasefire period, restoring stability. I thank him for his invitation and look forward to visiting Albania soon to advance our cooperation.

Relations between the Kurdistan Region and Greece continue to advance. In my meeting with H.E. Georgios Gerapetritis, we agreed to deepen cooperation in trade, tourism, higher education, and agriculture. I also called for direct flights between Slemani and Athens, and reaffirmed our shared commitment to continue hosting the Delphi in Slemani Forum.

DPM Talabani @qubadjt is in Greece 🇬🇷 for the Delphi Economic Forum XI. He will address the forum and engage in high-level meetings with world leaders and EU ministers to advance our vision for economic diversification, digital innovation, and sustainable growth. #DelphiForum

I extend my sincere congratulations to Adnan Darjal and the Iraqi Football Association on the occasion of qualifying for the World Cup—an achievement for all of Iraq. We held a constructive discussion on advancing the professionalization of football, strengthening club performance, and developing a robust infrastructure for the education and training of players. I also thanked him for the thoughtful gifts.
