Why everyone is omitting the word "environment" here.
It was never only about "proving himself" there are other factors which everyone is ignoring to prove their own point

The right environment is where your presence, experience, and intent are already respected. Growth happens where trust exists, not where validation is demanded every day, thats a toxic environment that he is well out of.

Seeing a lot of mdchds spamming on tl - he was shit for 5 years in Tests when that’s simply false...
2020 — played a grand total of 3 Tests. Two ended inside 2.5 days in NZ where the entire batting lineup failed. Still scored 74 in one innings in aus and probably would've gotten a hundred if not for Rahane’s terrible call.
2023 — averaged 55.
2025 — literally played one game.
2024 — missed the entire England series on some of the flattest Indian wickets in recent years. It was a big mistake from him.
The only genuinely poor phase was 2021-22 where he avgd. around 30. But conveniently nobody mentions India’s entire top 7 avgd. around 27 in that period. Even in his worst phase he still averaged 40+ on the toughest SA tour.
So no, it was not 5 bad years. It was just 3 poor years.
A guy who gave his heart & soul to Indian cricket and took Indian test team to greatest heights deserved one more WTC cycle. Yes, form had dipped, but writing him off completely never made sense. You can never keep someone like him quiet for too long. He could have easily pilled up 700 runs in the Eng series. Whenever he has played a decent amount of ODIs, he's done well in tests as well.

Women are literally finding self healing methods for PCOS on their own. They're trying to treat themselves. No healing methods are offered other than birth control pills. In an era where technology has advanced this much, they can't find a cure for PCOS.
