Alabama won one national title from 1980 to 2009. Maybe they make an incredible hire to replace Nick Saban and keep rolling, but after Bear Bryant they spent three decades in mediocrity. Saban was the GOAT, but I think it was more about him than Alabama.

@ClayTravis Alabama is the ONLY school to win at least one SEC championship in every decade of the conference’s existence. I don’t see any long term spans of mediocrity hidden anywhere in that fact.
