I just submitted my first script into a competition. After 11 years of trying to perfect the script, I think it's as good as it can be. I'm hopeful it will do well but I'm staying cautiously optimistic.

First.. you saying I’m not giving off great vibes probably means I’m going in the right direction. I agree being a good man isn’t toxic however feminist like to say the traits that make a man are toxic so fine… become toxic. Most men under 30 sound like women and act like women. I don’t know them personally so I can’t answer that.

@alicemoodyy Every filmmaker you love likely had other jobs before their breakthrough. It’s like saying “why would I want a waiter to be a movie star?” Just judge the work, if it’s good you’ll appreciate them as a filmmaker and never think about what they used to do

@alicemoodyy You may be shocked to learn that a lot content creators aren’t just random bloggers with no understanding of cinema. They didn’t get movies made just because they have a following, they often self fund. Judge the work, not your preconceived notions about the creator

"online content" being a comparable artform to cinema by someone who runs a site dedicated to film is about the scariest possible indictment of the future of the industry that i could imagine. what happened to learning the art and craft of it?
