According to Israeli Channel 14, "Israel" is now under the most intense Iranian attack since the war began. Israeli media reported that a heavy and continuous barrage of rockets and ballistic missiles has targeted central areas, including Tel Aviv and its surroundings, with around 10 ballistic missiles reportedly launched within minutes during the latest wave. Sirens have sounded nonstop across multiple areas, leaving emergency services struggling to reach impact sites. Regarding the Lebanese army’s statement today I’d like to remind you all that this was never about Hezbollah, or the army implementing 1701. Just like you see in Gaza, West Bank and Syria, it was never about hostages or Hamas. I am a freelance journalist, I am not bound to any media outlet’s narrative. I am free to report what I see, and that is what I do. What is happening in the south, Beirut and Bekaa has nothing to do with Hezbollah’s weapons and everything to do with Israel’s expansionist vision. It is ethnic cleansing, plain and simple. And to the Lebanese here and in the diaspora who attack me here on X and in person for reporting what I see, I say to you to leave your personal bigotry at home with your grandparents. If you’re not a bigot, you’re ignorant. Israel’s regional aspirations have nothing to do with your internal politics. As evidenced in occupied Palestine, they will kill you and take your home regardless of your religion. When you behave in such an ignorant and bigoted way toward your fellow countrymen in the south, you are playing into Israel’s hands. They want to keep you stupid and fighting with the each other as they encroach on your land. Before you know it, you will be arguing your irrelevant religious bigotry next to an IDF soldier in a cafe in your precious Ashrafieh. Do some research about the history of Israeli invasion in this country. It pre dates Hezbollah. It’s a land grab and Israel and the US are gaslighting you and you’re falling for it. I also call on my foreign colleagues to do their jobs. I read your articles and listen to your radio shows (I’m looking at you @BBC ) and it’s inconsistent with what is happening on the ground. Have some integrity.

Bullshit. I am faculty at AUB and it has moved online weeks ago because the Israeli bombing is not confined to the Dahiye, and they have been targeting people in neighboring buildings. Plus a large segment of the student population is Shiite.
