OTD in 1927, Charles Lindbergh took off from New York for Paris on the first ever solo transatlantic flight. He returned to NYC via boat, flew The Spirit of St. Louis to STL, and was met there by the press, including my great-grandfather, Wendell Webster, pictured with him here.

I so appreciate the ministry of @GlenScrivener, and I found what he had to say here to be especially moving, helpful & encouraging.

It was a big weekend for the Scribner family! Jack graduated from law school at Northwestern in Chicago, and Caroline graduated (Summa Cum Laude!) from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. We couldn’t be more proud of our kids, and are thankful we could attend all the ceremonies!

Specifically for my brothers & sisters in Christ: Titus 3:2 tells us, “to speak evil of no one, to avoid quarreling, to be gentle, and to show perfect courtesy toward all people.” How different might our social media feeds look if only we obeyed the clear command of God's word?

When discussing politics, it is helpful to remember that no matter what I believe, there will always be people a whole lot smarter than me who believe the exact opposite. That doesn’t necessarily make them right, but it should make ME a lot more humble and willing to listen.
