When adherence is maintained with GLP-1 medications, health outcomes improve and financial outcomes follow. At @eMedHealth we are seeing a high adherence rate - the result of a structured program that drives results. Grateful to @ariannahuff and Brooke Green of @aon_plc for a conversation every employer needs to hear right now

I visited @culturelab_pod with @KRonellenfitsch and @gabederoche to talk GLP1s. It was a helluva a lot of fun. Check it out airquotesmedia.com/culturelab We discussed GLP-1 cultural shifts: from lifestyle to longevity drugs and from government cost to investment. I spoke about my recent fiscal analysis that found Canada could make $72 BILLION net fiscal surplus by 2050 using a well structured GLP-1 programme. open.substack.com/pub/singerp/p/… I gave shout outs at the end to @DanielJDrucker @picardonhealth and @natashaloder

A trillion here, a trillion there, pretty soon you’re talking real money. ~$1.1 trillion in net fiscal returns from GLP-1 drugs across 36 countries by 2050. Most governments won’t capture it. 19 of 21 high-income countries should launch national programmes now, before generic semaglutide arrives in 2032. They probably won’t. Check out my new post. Spot on, from @linseymarr, as always: --> “I don’t understand why we are so reluctant to acknowledge the inhalation route when we’re talking about person-to-person transmission" --> “Airborne transmission is certainly the simplest explanation in those cases,” she said of the Argentinians who had no direct contact with patients. A tablet to prevent COVID infections in close contacts: Ensitrelvir reduced the risk of transmission among household contacts with covid in this Phase 3 study from Japan. This could be extraordinarily helpful in Long Term Care among vulnerable people. tinyurl.com/3dfnman5

@NightShiftMD Good analysis, Brian. I agree. A couple of add on thoughts: Precaution is a good idea, especially early. Treat it as airborne until proven otherwise. Watching the path of genomic sequence —> rapid diagnostic —> mRNA vaccine that was so helpful in COVID.
