But that should be doable. Plus, there are three concerts taking place in Berlin—so my chances are looking up.

@soundstoryuk Shake the Disease: It was the summer of 1985. My first encounter with Depeche Mode. I was at summer camp and the camp leaders played the song on repeat. I was blown away.

I'm about to say that Want is the best song in The Cure's entire discography. Then I remember other songs, but every time I hear it, I feel like it's the best of them all.

@ckone1976 @YiyaLostWorld There’s a great recording from Hanover where you can really hear and feel it. When everyone realised: Robert can’t get into the song, and then finally there’s a beat. Everyone went wild.

@ckone1976 @YiyaLostWorld Yes, Kiel must have been brilliant. A friend is still raving about it. In Hanover, I realised it when Robert came out for the second encore. A very slow version of ‘Charlotte Sometimes’. And by ‘A Forest’, he was completely over. Just like the rest of us in the hall.

@ckone1976 @YiyaLostWorld But you’ve been to a few Cure concerts too... I was in Hanover in 1996 as well. The day before Berlin. What was the concert like? Robert was so drunk in Hanover that he gave ‘A Forest’ a whole new sound, lyrics and rhythm.

@PeterAmenda @YiyaLostWorld When they started to play Plainsong for the Swing Tour it was simply beautiful. For me in Berlin....with the last song Faith.

@ckone1976 @YiyaLostWorld A few days later in 1995, I was in Konstanz at the Rock am See Festival. Want is a really powerful track. It was just right for the time. In Essen in 1996, they played “Plainsong” first and then “Want” straight after. That was great too.

@YiyaLostWorld My first touch was in Milano 95. It was so pretty much intense. It's blowing me away really. That time the bootlegers called it 'Any more time' I became the tape of that show and i always wanted more The '22 version is not really my cup of tea anymore. 2 many space sounds in it.

@ckone1976 @valere47636201 You’ve managed to avoid finding out anything? Great. I’m not that disciplined. Back in 1992, I got my hands on a bootleg of the US tour. And that was it for me. So I knew roughly what to expect in Düsseldorf and Essen. What the intro is like.

Ich habe jetzt schon die verschiedensten Meinungen gehört, #Schalker. Und am Ende empfindet es eh jeder anders und ich weiß gar nicht, ob man die überhaupt vergleichen kann. Aber welcher Aufstieg war für euch der emotionalere? Diese Saison oder der 2022? Für mich persönlich ganz klar, diese Saison. Alleine aus dem Grund, weil ich ihn mit meiner Tochter erlebt habe. Da kommt für mich so schnell nichts dran. #S04

@PeterAmenda @thecure Sometimes. Nobody!!! I mean really no-one dared to dream to have ever A Thousand Hours back on stage. And it happened....and it was so well done. Roberts drop down howling and the two tone bass VI romance at the end. So beautiful. With The Cure everything is possible!
