Cal upped his activity level today and said his side was feeling better. How he feels tomorrow will tell the tale. Also, another injury hit for the Mariners as Gabe Speier is placed on the IL with shoulder inflammation. Jose Suarez takes his place.

Cal Raleigh said it’s the right side that he tweaked and at some point during Friday’s game but not on a specific swing or moment.
He’s still awaiting more detailed results from the MRI. But he did take swings in the cage this morning.

Young should stay where he is in the lineup all season. Let him develop and get comfortable!! They ruined Kelenic when they started moving him around!

NEWS: Northwestern forward Tyler Kropp is entering the transfer portal, he tells me. The 6-9 freshman averaged 3.1 PPG in 11.9 MPG. Started 10 games for the Wildcats. Last summer, he posted 21.7 PPG and 9.7 RPG at the U19 World Cup with Argentina’s national team.
