We’re relieved to share that a surrogate mare has taken her in, allowing the young foal the best possible chance to grow up naturally within a wild herd.

At Ol Pejeta, every life matters. Last week, our vet team responded to reports of a two-month-old zebra foal found stranded and alone. After carefully capturing and collecting her, the team transported her to a nearby zebra herd in the hope she might be accepted. Thread 👇

This Valentine’s Day, we celebrate partnership, protection, and new beginnings, and a little black rhino who represents them all.

Our ranger and vet teams recently responded to reports of two elephants on the conservancy with injuries to their legs. Working quickly on the ground, and with vital support from the @KWSKenya vet team, both elephants were treated and are now expected to make a full recovery👇
