The Conservatives maintain the Senedd expansion was unnecessary. The money spent on creating more politicians could have been directed towards frontline services. We now have some very large groups in the Senedd, with early signs of infighting already beginning to emerge.

Our thanks must be given to the South Wales Fire and Rescue Service, other emergency services, council staff, volunteers and the local communities, for their efforts in supporting those affected by this ongoing incident.

Important to meet with the Newport Conservative Council team this week. Very important discussion on the issues impacting their residents, and how the @WelshConserv can continue to support them.

Great to meet with Natalie this morning at her excellent shop, Utopia Boutique, in Chepstow. We discussed the issues facing our retailers, including high business rates and reduced footfall. We must back our local shops, and I encourage everyone to shop locally where possible.

Following numerous residents getting in touch about the A465, I have asked Welsh Government for the reasoning behind the westbound lane closure. I will provide an update once I receive an answer from the Cabinet Minister.

Important to meet this morning with residents in Cwmbran about the proposed wind farm on Mynydd Maen. A very informative visit, and I will be looking to raise concerns with Welsh Government as quickly as possible.

Before calling for more powers, Welsh Government must ensure projects already under their control are successful. Rail passengers don't want a constitutional debate, they want improved services.

A formidable and principled politician, she was never afraid to speak her mind and stood firmly by her beliefs. My thoughts are with the family, friends and loved ones of Ann Widdecombe.

The Marches Line is often susceptible to disruption. I am pleased the Minister has acknowledged this, and is looking at improving its resilience. Passengers however, want more than warm words, they want action.
