@mark_bauerlein In my book, Early Modern Others, I show that Shakespeare et al. pushed back against various forms of racism (routledge.com/Early-Modern-O…). Is this conservative? Two woke peer reviewers thought so and tried to spike the project.

Faculty diversity ought to be measured relative to the actual subject matter of the disciplines. English doesn't need more Republicans--it needs more people with a conservative conception of the field.

If people want to know why Gen X is always mad, it's because we had to replace our record collections with a tape collection and then replace that with a CD collection that we slowly replaced with an MP3 collection and now need a subscription to listen to music.

Trump claimed he talked to a former president who said he wished he attacked Iran. All 4 living presidents’ aides say they have not talked to Trump about Iran. Why does Trump keep lying?

@atrupar Trump has absolutely no idea how the judicial system is supposed to work, that judges are supposed to be *independent.* Instead, Trump believes that the SCOTUS justices he appoints should give in to his wishes, whatever the law might be.
