@senzu_bean Yep - if you were at the game you may have noticed his positioning to set up Pedlars goal in Q1. A rushed kick out of congestion but player knew Cook would be out on his wing. Reliable. Just had to get it wide and Cook did the rest.

@PeterJCrows It can be very lonely on a wing. He's learned to peel off to offer that bail out kick up the line. Those easy 25m passes are vital to ball movement, they need to use him more often rather than booting it to a contest further upfield.

All you kids out there wanting to grow up as wingers, watch Brayden Cook. He’s technically just about perfect. Holds his width, makes the ground bigger, never gets sucked into the contest, always an outside option. Was in position A last night to get Curtains feed for the shot.

The Milera non goal represents everything that’s wrong with AFL officiating. Happy to rob the game of an amazing moment, and make it all about everyone hearing his whistle. You can see very clearly it was the Port player leaping to try and touch. They think we go to see them.

Just on the Soligo goal. It’s called a goal, there must be conclusive evidence to overturn. It’s simply not physically possible to know if that ball would have hit the post. It can only be a guess. That’s all it can be.

A kick can mask a lot. Plenty to work on, but no one who was at the ground tonight will ever forget this Showdown. Absolute box office. The loudest I have ever heard AO, well done to all in the crowd. We’ve been on the wrong side of plenty so we bank this one gratefully

@CrowMo99 Langford a fair miss although to be fair it’s early and there were some murmurs about him being Melbourne anchored. Haven’t seen it myself, but hearing from good watchers that Draper is having some nice moments and building some body resilience 🤞
