Canadians have had the luxury of US security which has allowed us to call them vulgar, ignorant, violent and beneath us. All the while they have built Microsoft, Apple, sent men to the moon, gave us Hollywood which gobbled up our talent, built the strongest military in history, built a society that attracted the best and brightest from around the world, spent more on alliances and aid than the world combined and created Silicon Valley, Ivy League schools and the best hospitals in the world. This under different Presidents and parties. While Canada debates a rail project that will never exist and bemoans what the Avro arrow could have been the US is sending a rocket to the moon and rescued an airman in a Hollywood style operation all in the same week. Canada can't rest on Vimy ridge or Juno Beach any longer. We need to recapture what we once were. We can no longer afford our arrogance based on nothing tangible. Our superiority complex now comes off as insecurity and jealousy.

Hate Israel all you want but one thing is absolutely, abundantly clear after the rescue of the American pilots and as this war has proceeded: No other ally in the world today actively assists the US as Israel does. They are the truest ally in every sense of the word. NATO won't even let the US fly through their airspace. Israel? They'll put their own pilots in the line of fire to rescue an American. That's allyship.

European countries with US bases on them invited the US to set up shop so they wouldn’t have to pay for their own defenses. The US should just leave and you can pay for your own defenses. You might have to axe your Net Zero project and stop giving handouts to asylum seekers.

Qatar didn't decide anything. The US can't afford their military presence the world over. They are in a waning world influence due to the parabolic fiat/debt of an unsound money. They have egun to withdraw from South Korea. We predicted all their EMEA bases will be destroyed, or assumed by the host nation, or taken over by Israel. The US needs to cut its cloth according to its greatly reduced ability to raise debt. They are retreating whilst pretending to be strong and waging a war. Post Israel/Iran/Hormuz, the US will have a far smaller global military footprint. They could have just done the Ron Paul plan of a decade and a half or so ago.
