Well… that didn’t go as planned… RuckHero.com is live… unfortunately, it turns out Carrd looks great on desktop then crops every screenshot to nothing on mobile. Anyone dealt with this before?

Started the RuckHero site in Carrd — figured an hour of no-code would do it. Then I caught myself: I'm building this to learn AI tools, and I'm skipping them on the website? Had Codex take over design and had Claude Code refresh the copy. Live now at ruckhero.com!

5/ RuckHero uses the load-adjusted ACSM equation. The summary screen shows the delta — what I call Ruck Tax. iOS, in progress.

4/ How big is the gap on a real ruck? Studies put the underestimate at 10-50%, depending on pack weight and terrain. Light pack on flat ground sits at the low end. Heavy pack on hills sits at the high end.

Needed an LLC to ship an app under a real name. Asked ChatGPT to walk me through it — turns out it's mostly paperwork. Named it Frog Hollow Labs, after the old farm we moved to. The farm's been the bigger project.

Had a rough week, so I spent the last couple days building something just for fun. Codex helped me put together a map of farm stands in the Twin Cities — then pushed it live to Vercel on a domain I bought for the project. Live at: twincitiesfarmstand.com

First time I saw RuckHero come to life in the simulator. Claude Code walked me through it from blank Xcode project to running app. I'm a marketer in healthcare... a month ago I couldn't tell you what a SwiftUI view was. This stuff is wild.

Did a 5-mile ruck with 30 lbs on my back. Apple Fitness logged it the same as an unweighted walk. None of Apple's workout modes know there's weight on your back, so the burn gets undercounted 10-50%. RuckHero is what I'm building to fix that. iOS, in progress.
