Some of the posts going around right now are a perfect example of ego getting in the way of the very thing people claim to care about. Old footage dressed up as current events. Clips pulled so far out of context they’ve lost any connection to the truth. Evidence bent to fit the argument rather than the other way around. That isn’t patriotism. That’s just noise with a flag on it. And here’s the thing. If you genuinely care about this country, you don’t need to fabricate a case. There’s more than enough happening right now that’s worth being angry about. Real things. Provable things. Things that stand up when someone looks twice. The moment you reach for something false or twist the timeline to suit your point, you’ve done the opposition’s job for them. You’ve also made it harder for everyone who’s been telling the truth. So do us all a favour. Stick to the facts. Keep the timeline honest. That’s not asking much. It’s just the minimum if you want to be taken seriously.
