While cryptocurrencies named after dogs are funny, I prefer when productive, revolutionary startups reach the moon.

Trying to assign fake meaning or hallow symbolism to bad art/music/architecture does not make it good. It makes it worse by trying to sell what is bad as “culturally” good, further destroying the culture they say their trying to improve. It just sucks
BoiltOwl@nealjclark1

The thing about these little “counter cultural” art movements or scenes, is that the art isn’t very good. The art isn’t very good so they package it with as much alienating layers of disgust as they can invent to mask that very basic truth. It has always been thus.

The next 20 years are going to decide a great many things about the future of people on this planet, which means we’re all part of the most consequential cohort of humans the world’s ever seen. If that doesn’t give you goosebumps, I dunno what will.

Can you imagine? --A world that rejects the underlying premises of efficiency produced through grid, compartmentalization, industrial notions of linear strategy, worship of increased productivity, speed & optimization? From food, to education, medicine, psych & even research...

I can understand thinking consciousness is not an epiphenomenon but not taking the time to *understand* how neurons and neurotransmitters function is like being a horse with blinders on
