Serious question: What actually constitutes a “hybrid” or well-rounded athlete? If someone runs a legitimately fast mile recreationally, will say sub-4:20 and maintains a higher degree of muscle mass But doesn’t prioritize strength training on the big 3 lifts Are they still considered hybrid? At what point does the combo of speed + muscle outweigh elite strength numbers? Would we be more impressed by that 4:20 mile at a larger body size or by someone who can break 5 minutes but deadlifts 600lbs and prioritizes strength still? Curious where people draw the line.
