Pro ball organization: “We’re going all in on player development this year.” Also pro ball organization: “Let’s have our guys run intervals and miles in November so they don’t get hurt when we do our mile tests in Spring Training.” 🤢

Rowing trains many of the muscles in the posterior shoulder that play the role of “decelerators” for throwing. These muscles must be very strong to handle excessive forces when decelerating the throwing arm. Stuck at home with limited equipment? Try one of these!

It’s the year 2036... Trevor Bauer is commissioner of baseball. Robot umpires would have already been instated and terminated. Baseballs will have a tiny chip in them marking how fast/far they fly. And I bet pitchers will STILL be running poles like the prehistoric times 🙄

Kobe Bryant trained an absurd amount, to the point that he adopted a sleep schedule that was also absurd. He is the epitome of what it means to work so hard that you get “everything out of your God-given abilities”. We all can work harder to achieve our dreams. Rest In Peace Kobe

On December 25th, a town in Peru celebrates 'Takanakuy,' where people settle grudges from the past year by fist fighting. Then everyone drinks together.

Unicorns actually existed about 29,000 years ago. The Siberian unicorn was about 6.5 feet tall, weighed 4 tons, and looked like a hairy rhino.

Coaches, unless you are an aspiring professional baseball player, the athletes you train have very different needs than you. If you personally want to do bodybuilding circuits and train for physique, that’s cool...their training sessions should not look anything like yours.

If you want to address “mental toughness”. Have them compete every day- see who Jumps the best, runs the fastest, throws the med ball hardest, etc. They’ll be forced to bring it every day just as they will in the season.

“We’ll run sprints til we’re about to puke!” Anyone can accumulate work. It’s much more difficult to create the adaptations athletes need. Quality reps with high intent are better than many crappy reps. Too much work taxes the nervous system to the point that training is useless

Increased body mass will not lead to increased throwing velocity if: -Body fat is the main source of weight increase -Fiber types shift from faster to slower twitch as a result of training -Mobility has decreased in the pursuit of gaining muscle size How you train matters a lot

And some “hitting” coaches really out here with drills like this, is more important, than hitting regular bp or off a tee!
