The signing occurred at the Mongolia-China Investment Event, co-organized by the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Mongolia, the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Mongolia (MNCCI) and the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce in Mongolia.

Today, Petro Matad and PetroChina’s Mongolian affiliate signed a Memorandum of Understanding as a show of commitment on strengthening their cooperation in the Tamsag region of Dornod Province where they are both operators and neighbors on 3 exploitation blocks.
