@ItoAyamiStan I initially supported ID for porn sites when it was first proposed and I still do. Showing ID is supposed to be rare and only when necissary. I never forsaw it being used to institute the global CCP. I'm thoroughly horrified at the monster we've created.

My stance on porn ID laws has shifted. As much as I wish to avoid accidental exposure of porn to kids, more and more this stuff is all just a Trojan horse to censoring and facefagging the entire internet

@canislogica @LundukeJournal Interactions of a sexual nature have much stronger emotional reaction than any other form of media. It's completely erroneous to compare porn to videogames or movies. People who offend were likely always, but it's the nasty porn that fed the fantasy and gave them ideas.

And, right on cue, a flood of people have arrived to defend pornographic, cartoon, sexualized depictions of small children. One of their main arguments is "It's not a picture of a *real* kid, so it's ok!" Look. Wether it's pictures of real children, or cartoon depictions... It's all evil. Are some things more evil than others? Absolutely. But evil is evil. And this sort of sick, perverted, pornographic material, depicting little kids, is evil. Without question. This is not up for debate.

Her husband posted a TripAdvisor review calling the hotel "unsafe for women." The hotel got it pulled, then a hotel employee filed a defamation complaint against him under Qatar's cybercrime laws. Nearly a year later, when he returned to Qatar for work, he was detained, informed he'd been tried in absentia and fined, and then held for four nights in a deportation centre. The deportation order lasts five years, which severely hurts his career as a Middle East healthcare consultant.
