The only positive is that his decisions are better - swinging less at balls outside the zone.
But all signs point to major HR and AVG regression. This is the biggest sell candidate this year so far

@TaylorTarter @_nateschwartz His aerial rate is around that of most Judge seasons with equivalent EV's. Also underperformed his xwOBA and xSLG. Not a lot of regression indicators outside of maybe the chase and whiff rates(which aren't horrific)

@_nateschwartz Would be a success, but ppl talking about him like he's going to hit .300 the whole season and it's just not realistic. My point was basically sell high because the AVG and power are going off right now but the Ks and eventual flyballs that turn into outs will bite him

@RojaVamos @HenceSZN I think they matter a lot in terms of pointing hitters in the right direction for success. Tilt and attack angle are better measurables for how well a player will be able to launch, and you can really determine slice based on stance metrics. There's not an end all be all though
