@charlotteSU2020 Sex education has not been updated since it was first implemented. I remember watching a birthing video from 1993 when I was in high school. We need to promote more inclusive sex education and talk about safe sex. #susocialwork

"The science is credible; vaccinations are the only way that we are going to achieve herd immunity, and everyone must be a part of that solution”. I have to say I was unsure if this would happen, but it is critical. #SUSocialWork baltimoresun.com/education/bs-m…

@charlotteSU2020 The devastation caused by Covid-19 will be forever lasting. I am hopeful for healthcare workers have appropriate access to mental health services in an effort to begin healing. #susocialwork

This is very similar to what the CIT unit of my job (AACO Crisis Response) does. It's so important to have a clinician paired with an officer in crisis situations and makes such a difference! #SUSocialWork

@charlotteSU2020 I waited with baited breath for the results of this trial and it took me back to Trayvon Martin's case and the defeat I felt with that verdict. Chauvin's verdict felt like a win, but it has done little to change the way policing is done. #susocialwork

I am so nervous about the results. It’s clear that ppl are expecting him to get away with it because of all the barbed wire around the building. There is still a glimmer of hope that he will be found guilty but All it takes is one juror to disagree to get a mistrial #SUSocialWork

Working out in the mornings has significantly improved my mood and activity levels during the day. As a social worker, self-care is imperative to remain sane and exercising is mine. How do you guys practice self-care? #susocialwork

@MrsKadyLady Seeing this made me hopeful that we will begin making steps towards necessary reforms. My greatest concern has been that it feels like their is never a moment to grieve the lives that have been taken because within days there is another shooting. #susocialwork

Police officer bill of rights prevents appropriate and assertive accountability on law enforcement officers who are bound to serve and protect all and behave in a manner above reproach. This is a major step towards necessary reform. #SUsocialwork washingtonpost.com/local/md-polit…

@_mikaliartice Covid-19 has made it almost impossible for those in prison to be comfortable. In addition to higher risks, their phone and outdoor privileges are significantly limited. I am wondering if there has been any information regarding vaccine rollouts in prison? #susocialwork

@BriannacarterS Thank you for sharing your perspective. As someone who is high risk and works with the public, I jumped on the first opportunity I could to receive my vaccine. Though I suffered some of the side effects, I am gracious to have received it. #susocialwork

I have high anxiety and suffer from depression. I can't control what causes these things but I can control how I respond to them. My conscience can fight the negative voices that depression and anxiety whisper in my ear.

@nlaneSU20 Wow, this is hurtful to see. It feels as though we take one step forward just to take one step back. Everyone deserves the right to equal care regardless of race, religion, or sexual orientation. #susocialwork

@Caitlin_MSW2020 This is very true. Especially in our profession, I find myself ensuring that I take time to use self-care appropriately and monitor my moods in order to be in the best shape for my consumers. #susocialwork
