everyone's talking about jane street, but how does big money actually manipulate markets? here's everything they don't want you to know about how they manipulate price: 1/ they create sell walls market makers place big sell orders just above current market price. retail traders see the wall and, assuming price cannot break through, sell their holdings in anticipation of prices falling. the market maker is able to keep prices artificially low, while accumulating at a discount. 2/ they "spoof" price market makers lower their "bid" (price they're willing to buy at) while also lowering their "ask" (price they're willing to sell at). this creates downward pressure on price, giving them a chance to buy low. 3/ they force retail out of their positions because market makers have detailed insight into overall market activity (order books etc), they can see where traders have their stop-loss orders (normally below key support levels). so market makers sell just enough to push price below retail's stop-losses, triggering a cascade of sell orders and plunging price. market makers then step in once price has fallen and scoop up tokens at discount. 4/ they cause flash crashes market makers will often place massive sell orders and then cancel them milliseconds before they're executed. this tricks high-frequency traders into mass selling, and crashes the market, so market makers can pick up shares at lower prices. the more you understand how market manipulation works, the better you'll be at investing and trading!

It could just be my algorithm, but I just see more and more people justifying why they think the top is in and how everyone else is wrong. It’s almost like a virus that just keeps on spreading. George Soros talks about how it is possible to manufacture a bear market through a negative sentiment loop. I do think we need to be careful of this. However, I don’t remember any time where the whole of CT was as bearish as this except the bottom, literally. It’s like people post something bearish and a few people are angry but now most agree or retweet it etc. I mentioned a few days ago that for us $XRP holders it feels similar to this time last year and the next move was an upside explosion. If nothing has changed (4 year cycle theorists), then why haven’t we seen a significant drop in $BTC.D? Just this one fact alone would demonstrate some kind of change if the top were to be in. When in previous cycles did most traders call for a top and it was actually the top? Why would we flush all downside liquidity if that was the direction the market was heading? Do you think the dollar strengthens from here? Equity index’s like the $RTY that have signalled expansionary phases just wick the highs and that’s it? This isn’t a complete post, just some thoughts as I’m scrolling doomsville.
