Doug Henderson did the Original Artwork for our 1988 "Dawn of the Dinosaurs" publication and the primary artwork featured in the 2015 "reboot". A completely new manuscript, up to date science, discoveries and an in-depth focus on the Late Triassic in the American Southwest.

Petrified Forest National Park will be closed to the public until further notice, following guidance from the CDC and recommendations from state and local public health in consultation with NPS Public Health Service officers.

Our Park concessionaire, Ortegas, will be limiting their operations starting today. Only the convenience store and gas pumps will be open starting tomorrow, March 21st 2020. Their Rainbow Forest Lodge will also be closed.

Hi everyone! We wanted to reach out to inform the public that our association stores at the Painted Desert Visitor Center and Rainbow Forest Museum are open from 8-5 daily. We are limiting the amount of persons inside to 5 at a time. The Park itself is still open as well!

Our last change of hours for the year happens today! Our park and visitor centers will now be open from 8 A.M. to 5 P.M. Remember, Arizona runs on Mountain Standard Time all year long!

Hi everyone! Forgive our brief hiatus 😀 We wanted to inform our followers of our new store hours. The Painted Desert Visitors Center & Rainbow Forest Museum's new hours are 8 A.M. to 6 P.M. Our park hours are 7 A.M. to 7:30 P.M. We hope everyone is enjoying their summer!
