The Pittsburgh Bureau of Police Intelligence Unit is closely monitoring the shooting incident at Temple Israel in West Bloomfield, MI. In response, officers will provide an increased presence outside all of the city’s Jewish institutions until further notice.

Last night, the PBP kicked off the Student Police Academy spring session. Students in grades 9-12 met Police Chief Jason Lando, and officers provided an introduction to the PBP. Over the next 10 weeks, students will learn about exciting subject matters related to policing.

Our winter clothing drive for resolve Crisis Services has concluded with 5,828 items collected. Thank you to everyone who donated! Due to this success, the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police is planning a second drive for late 2026. Details to come later this year.

To reduce impaired driving surrounding St. Patrick’s Day, law enforcement agencies are ramping up patrols now through March 17. The goal is to remove impaired drivers and prevent crashes. Arrange a sober ride, use a rideshare service, or designate a driver. #PghStPatricksDay
