Fluorescent Protein Biosensors Quick Guide! 🧵 FP Biosensors are genetically encoded tools that measure analytes (X) which either directly or indirectly affect their spectral properties. Analytes can affect the fluorophore intrinsically or through extrinsic sensing domains fused to the FP. Measurements are calculated as the signal of a single channel (intensiometric) or as the ratio of signal from two channels (ratiometric).
